Telangana CM to interact with farmers on June 16 under 'RythuNestham' programme

Hyderabad, June 13 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will interact with farmers across the state on June 16 as part of the state government's flagship 'RythuNestham' programme, aimed at strengthening the bond between farmers and agricultural experts.
Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao held a teleconference with district collectors on Friday to review the arrangements for the event, which will take place at the Agricultural University in Hyderabad and be telecast live to all RythuNestham centres across the state.
The Chief Secretary directed Collectors to ensure the programme is organised in a befitting manner, inviting local public representatives and ensuring participation of at least 250 farmers from each area. He emphasised that the initiative will serve as a platform for farmers to receive guidance from agriculture experts through an expanded video conferencing facility.
“The existing video conferencing network of 500 centres has now been scaled up to 1,000 centres from June 16, enabling real-time interaction between farmers and agricultural experts who will provide timely advice on crop selection and modern techniques,” Rao said.
Secretary Agriculture Raghunandan Rao instructed collectors to deploy mandal-level officers and Agriculture Extension Officers at every RythuNestham centre. He added that the event should be conducted in a festive atmosphere to motivate farmer participation.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Secretary also held a separate teleconference with DGP Jitender and other senior officials to review security and logistical arrangements for the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards function scheduled for June 14 at Hitex, Hyderabad.
Special Commissioner, I&PR, Dr Harish, informed that all departments are working in close coordination to ensure the awards ceremony is conducted smoothly. DGP Jitender assured that adequate bandobust and parking arrangements have been put in place for the film-based event, an official statement said.
