BJP seeks constitutional action against Kerala Minister over Amit Shah convoy protest

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 3 (UNI) The BJP has approached Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar seeking constitutional action against State Youth Affairs and Sports Minister O J Janeesh over the alleged blocking of union Home Minister Amit Shah’s convoy by Youth Congress workers in Kollam.
A BJP delegation submitted a memorandum to the Governor, alleging that the incident amounted to a serious security lapse and seeking an inquiry into the circumstances leading to the protest and the Minister’s alleged role in it.
The BJP said Janeesh, who is also the Youth Congress state president, had publicly stated that the protest was held on the basis of his directions and that he took responsibility for the incident.
