Telangana: MeeSeva doorstep service gets 3,885 calls in first month

Hyderabad, Oct 23 (UNI) The MeeSeva Doorstep Delivery Service has received 3,885 calls from citizens through its toll-free helpline 1100 within a month of its launch, providing convenient access to certificates and Aadhaar services at home.
Under the leadership of IT and Electronics Minister D Sridhar Babu, the initiative aims to make government services more accessible, transparent and citizen-friendly as part of the Telangana Rising vision.
Citizens can obtain income, caste, residence, birth and death certificates, besides Aadhaar enrolment and update services, without visiting MeeSeva or Aadhaar centres or waiting in queues. They can dial 1100 or submit a request through the MeeSeva citizen portal. A MeeSeva executive will visit their home at the scheduled time to complete the requested service.
The doorstep service is currently available only in CURE areas, and applicable service charges will be levied. The initiative is aimed at improving convenience and accessibility in the delivery of government services, according to an official statement on Friday.
