Former Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Pattabhiraman passes away

Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) Former Vice Chief of Army Staff and Colonel Commandant of the Bombay Sappers Lt Gen S Pattabhiraman, (Retd), passed away at the Military Hospital, Wellington in the Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu.

He was 78.

He is survived by his wife Lakshmi.

He was admitted for breathing difficulties for the past few days and passed away yesterday, a Defence statement said here on Sunday.

His last rites were conducted with full military honours in Wellington this afternoon.
