SCR GM presents Employee of the Month’ Safety Awards to 6 employees

Hyderabad, May 19 (UNI) South Central Railways (SCR) General Manager Arun Kumar Jain, presented the “Employee of the Month” Safety Awards for April 2025 to six employees during a safety review meeting held at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad here on Monday.
These awards recognize railway personnel who have demonstrated exceptional alertness and dedication in preventing unsafe conditions.
Neeraj Agrawal, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway, participated in the meeting alongside all Principal Heads of Departments while the Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, and Nanded divisions joined the review via video conference.
The General Manager personally commended six employees from various divisions Secunderabad (2), Vijayawada (2), and Guntur (2) - for their swift action in averting potential risks.
The awardees, representing different operational roles such as Track Maintainers, Technicians, and a Station Master, were recognized for their diligence and dedication to ensuring railway safety.
Arun Kumar praised the recipients, acknowledging their commitment to duty and emphasizing the crucial role of alertness in railway operations.
During the meeting, the General Manager underscored the importance of crew working hours and directed officials to conduct an in-depth analysis of train movements to optimize
scheduling.
He also called for the preparation of an integrated plan involving all relevant departments to further enhance the punctuality of passenger and freight train operations.
In a comprehensive review of railway safety, Arun Kumar assessed the progress of on-going safety drives across multiple departments, including Signal & Telecommunications, Engineering, and Mechanical.
He reiterated the need for continuous counselling sessions at the field level ensuring staff remain vigilant and proactive in maintaining high safety standards.
