TTD EO asks security firm to come up more options for Alipiri check point

Tirupati, June 18 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer J Syamala Rao on Wednesday asked RAXA, the renowned company belonging to the GMR Group, to come up with more security options for the Alipiri Check Point, keeping in view the need for the next two decades.
RAXA, which provides Security Solutions, has presented a PowerPoint Presentation on their observations on how to revamp the Security measures and modernise the Alipiri Check Point.
Rao along with the Additional Executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, who held a review meeting on the revamping of the Alipiri Check Point and enhancing the Security here, suggested that the Company provide both long term and short-term solutions to overcome the time-consuming process of the Security Check at Alipiri.
However, the EO has directed the Vigilance Wing of TTD to implement a few measures soon to avoid delay in checking at Alipiri including to set up some physical barriers to prevent cross overs during checking; to replace the existing luggage scanners with more advanced, rugged scanners; to increase the number of luggage scanners for speeding up luggage scanning process; To check the possibility of increasing Luggage Conveyor Belt avoiding long hours of security check and to bring into utility the last two security lanes at Alipiri by posting more security personnel.
RAXA CEO Amit Dar, TTD JEO Veerabrahmam, CVSO Murali Krishna, Chief Engineer Satyanarayana, EE Venu Gopal and GM ( IT) Sesha Reddy, were present.
