Voices of purpose shine at 72nd Miss World 2025 head-to-head challenge in Telangana

Hyderabad, May 20 (UNI) The 72nd Miss World Festival’s prestigious Head-to-Head Challenge concluded on a powerful note on Tuesday at T-Hub, Telangana’s premier innovation hub.
Over two inspiring days, contestants from around the globe presented their social impact projects, showcasing their commitment to the Miss World Foundation’s core theme, 'Beauty with a Purpose'.
The event brought together voices of purpose, as contestants addressed a wide range of critical global and local issues—child education, mental health, gender-based violence, autism, plastic pollution, child sexual abuse, language preservation, and more.
Divided by region, representatives from the Americas, Caribbean, and Africa spoke on May 20, with participants from Europe, Asia, and Oceania to speak on May 21.
Each delegate had the opportunity to passionately advocate for a cause close to her heart, reflecting leadership, empathy, and the desire to create lasting social change. The Head-to-Head Challenge is a cornerstone of the Miss World competition, offering a global platform for young women to champion transformative initiatives in education, healthcare, environment, and community upliftment.
T-Hub provided a fitting venue for the challenge, symbolising Telangana’s growing stature as a hub for innovation, cultural dialogue, and global engagement. The inclusive environment encouraged authentic storytelling and reinforced the state’s support for purpose-driven global platforms.
Speaking at the event, Julia Morley CBE, Chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organisation, said, “The Head-to-Head Challenge is more than a competition—it is a celebration of courage, compassion, and purpose. I am deeply inspired by the stories these young women bring to the world stage. Hosting this in Telangana, a place known for its forward-thinking spirit, makes this event even more meaningful.”
The event was broadcast live on the Miss World YouTube channel, connecting global audiences to the empowering messages and purpose-driven missions of the Miss World 2025 contestants.
The Head-to-Head Challenge reinforced Miss World's enduring mission—to empower women to be voices of change, rooted in compassion and purpose, across every corner of the world, an official statement said.
