Dr Venkata Mohan appointed as Director of CSIR-NEERI

Hyderabad, Jan 28 (UNI) Dr S Venkata Mohan, a distinguished Chief Scientist at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad, has been appointed as the Director of the CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur.
His appointment, effective January 28, 2025, was announced by the Prime Minister of India, who serves as the President of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), a statement here said.
Dr Mohan has been a part of CSIR-IICT since 1998 and has made significant contributions to the fields of environmental engineering and sustainability. He holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering, an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering, and a Ph.D. from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at Kyoto University, Japan, and as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
