Vishal tops 400m heats, Kiran Pahal, Prachi enter women's final

Aichi-Nagoya, Sept 25 (UNI) Indian athletics produced a strong qualifying session at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Friday, with national record holder Vishal TK topping the men’s 400m heats and Kiran Pahal and Prachi advancing to the women’s 400m final.
Vishal stormed to victory in Heat 2 in 45.27 seconds to secure automatic qualification for Saturday’s final. His timing was the fastest across all three heats, underlining his strong showing in the qualifying round.
Vishal, who became the first Indian to break the 45-second barrier with a national record 44.98 seconds earlier this season, will now look to convert his impressive qualification into a medal in the final.
