Patna, May 3 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the Khel India Youth Games 2025 in Bihar on Sunday.
PM Modi will inaugurate Khelo India Youth Games 2025 in Bihar through video conferencing from New Delhi. The event beginning on May 4 will continue till May 15, and athletes from all states and union territories are all set to compete in 27 sports disciplines.
The inaugural function will be organised in Patna, while the event will be organised in Rajgir, Gaya and Begusarai, besides the state capital Patna itself.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Bihar Sports Minister Santosh Mehta, besides other dignitaries, will remain present in Patna during the inaugural function. A total of 8,500 players will participate in the event from 28 states and union territories.
A cultural programme will also be presented by Hindi film star Pankaj Tripathi and folk singer Maithili Thakur. Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Ravindran Shankaran said that all preparations had been made for the great event. It was pride for Bihar that Khelo India Youth Games was being organised in the state, he stated.
