Varun Chakravarthy gets first outing as India bat first in series finale

Hamilton, Nov 1 (UNI) India's mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy will make his first appearance in the ongoing five-match T20 International series against New Zealand as the visitors take on the hosts in the fifth and final match at Seddon Park here on Sunday.
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and elected to field, handing India the opportunity to bat first.
India made two changes to their playing XI, bringing in Varun and experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Varun, who had been waiting for his opportunity through the first four matches, will be keen to make an impact in the series finale.
India captain Shreyas Iyer said the team wanted to test its batting resources in the first innings, having chased targets in all four previous matches.
Iyer also revealed that Varun was eager for his opportunity and had delivered a motivational speech during the team's pre-match huddle.
New Zealand made one change, bringing Blair Tickner back into the side in place of Matt Fisher.
India, who lead the series 3-1, will look to finish on a winning note, while the hosts will aim to build on their comeback victory in Auckland.
India XI: Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer (c), Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Naman Dhir, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy.
New Zealand XI: Tim Seifert, Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Bevon Jacobs, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (c), Nathan Smith, Adam Milne, Jacob Duffy and Blair Tickner.
