Panchkula cranks up NIPUN Mission with 44-cluster puzzle blitz, KBC-style quiz next

Panchkula, Sep 23 (UNI) In a high-voltage push to sharpen foundational skills at the grassroots, Panchkula district has rolled out a massive cluster-level Puzzle and Pattern Championship across all 44 clusters under the NIPUN Haryana Mission, sending the top-performing teams into a forthcoming block-level showdown that will culminate in a "Kaun Banega Crorepati-style quiz".
The championship, organised after rigorous school-level contests, saw every cluster throw open its doors to two teams from each participating school. Each four-member squad was deliberately mixed by grade: one student from Class 1, one from Class 2 and two from Class 3, ensuring that the competition tested layered thinking across age groups rather than rote learning.
According to Asindra Kumar, the NIPUN Nodal Officer for Panchkula, the cluster-level battle was structured into two hard-fought rounds. The first was a screening round that filtered the field down to the top four teams. These qualifiers then advanced to a second round built around the challenge "Apna Pattern Svayam Banayein" (Create Your Own Pattern), where teams had to design original patterns rather than simply replicate templates. The two highest-scoring teams from each cluster have now punched their ticket to the block-level championship.
