Himachal Electricity Board's teams sweep titles at All India Kabaddi Tournament in Shimla

Shimla, Apr 29 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board's teams emerged champions in both the men’s and women’s categories at the 46th All India Electricity Sports Control Board Kabaddi Tournament, held at Government Senior Secondary School, Bhattakufar.
The three-day event saw participation from 14 men’s and four women’s teams representing power utilities from various states, featuring over 200 players, including Pro-Kabaddi and international athletes.
In the men's final, Himachal defeated Maharashtra Biscom 33–16, while Haryana Power Corporation took third place.
In the women’s category, Himachal once again dominated, beating Maharashtra Biscom 30–17, with Maharashtra Transmission was placed third.
The best raider, catcher, and all-rounder were also awarded for their performances.
For the first time, a women’s kabaddi segment was introduced by the Board, marking a significant step towards inclusivity.
