National Games 2027: J&K cop Dushyant appointed Member IOA’s Games Technical Conduct Committee

Jammu, Oct 14 (UNI) A Senior Superintendent of Police rank officer in Jammu and Kashmir Police and President Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association, Dushyant Sharma, has been nominated as a Member of the Games Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC) for the 39th National Games, 2027.
The 39th National Games are expected to be hosted by Meghalaya next year projected around February–March.
As per the notification issued, the nomination has been made by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) vide its letter No. IOA/VI-55/3333 dated October 14, 2026, issued by Dr. PT Usha, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and President, Indian Olympic Association.
The GTCC has been constituted in accordance with the Host State Agreement for the 39th National Games 2027, to be held in Meghalaya.
The committee will be responsible for the technical oversight of the sports programme, including finalisation of competition schedules, sport entries, eligibility, technical specifications and coordination with National Sports Federations.
The committee is chaired by Sunaina Kumari and comprises four other members including Ravinder Choudhary, Maninder Pal Singh, V Sunil Kumar and Dushyant Sharma.
This appointment is recognition of Dushyant Sharma’s dedicated contribution to the promotion of Olympic movement and sports in Jammu and Kashmir and at the national level, read a communiqué issued here.
Sharma earlier served as Prevention of Manipulation of Competitions (PMC) Officer as part of the Indian Contingent for the 20th Asian Games, 2026 held at Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4, 2026.
