No decision to shift India-Sri Lanka ODI from Delhi, says Saikia

New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia on Monday dismissed reports suggesting that the first ODI between India and Sri Lanka, scheduled to be played in New Delhi on December 13, could be shifted to Ahmedabad, saying the Board had taken no such decision amid speculation over ongoing renovation work at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Sri Lanka are scheduled to tour India in December for a three-match ODI series followed by three T20Is. The ODI leg will begin in the national capital, with the second match scheduled to be played in Bengaluru on December 16 and the third in Ahmedabad on December 19.
Speculation over a possible venue change emerged amid ongoing infrastructure work at the Feroz Shah Kotla. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) is undertaking a major overhaul of the venue, including the installation of a modern drainage system and the relaying of pitches and the outfield.
