True Worship Of Goddess Lies In Respecting Women And Their Freedom Says Actress Abhidnya Bhave

Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) Marathi television actress Abhidnya Bhave says Navratri’s celebration of feminine power should extend beyond goddess worship to women’s everyday lives.
"Society must offer women equality, respect and freedom, recognize their individuality and allow them to make their own choices," she said in a chat with mediapersons at a puja pandal in South Mumbai on Monday.
Bhave, who plays Kaushiki, an independent media-house owner in the serial 'Tarini', said women want to be treated as equals, not given opportunities just to prove their strength. She added that empowerment should not be mistaken for rebellion.
