Nagpur, Apr 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday distributed Pink e-rickshaws to 50 eligible women beneficiaries of the district under the Pink e-rickshaw scheme of the Women & Child Development Department at the Planning Building here.
Speaking after the Pink E-Rickshaw Distribution Programme, he talked about the Maharashtra government's various decisions taken towards women empowerment and its effective implementation.
He further stated that an important step has been taken towards women empowerment and their safety through the Pink e-rickshaw scheme of the Women & Child Development Department.
The Women & Child Development Department has provided employment to needy women through the
ambitious scheme of Pink e-rickshaw, the Chief Minister pointed.
Also, this scheme has guaranteed safe travel for working women in these women-run autorickshaws, he expressed and added that 2,000 women in the district will be provided employment by distributing e-rickshaws.
