Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition government in Maharashtra is cheating the people of the state, said state Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Spokesperson Atul Londhe.
He said: "The government said they will give Rs 2,100 to beloved sisters. The government is not even ready to waive off farmers' loans, and the announcement by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that electricity bills will be cheaper from April 1, has also turned out to be a lie. The common man will have to bear the shock of electricity bills," said Londhe.
Atul Londhe said that in the electricity sector, there are three companies of the Maharashtra government, Mahanimirti, Mahapareshan and Mahavitaran. The owners of all these three companies are the state government. The proposal regarding the electricity bill goes to the Electricity Regulatory Commission and the Electricity Regulatory Commission decides whether to increase or decrease the electricity bill.
