Maha: VBA chief demands Modi’s response on aircraft losses after Defence Chief’s admission

Mumbai, Jun 1 (UNI) Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) president Prakash Ambedkar has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify the government’s position after the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan acknowledged that Indian aircraft were shot down by Pakistan during 'Operation Sindoor'.
Ambedkar’s demand follows similar criticism from the Congress, which accused the government of misleading the nation on the issue.
Gen Chauhan, in a recent media interview, admitted for the first time that Pakistani forces downed some Indian fighter jets on the first day of the operation. While he did not specify the number of aircraft lost, he emphasised that understanding the reasons behind the losses was more important than the exact figures.
