Mumbai, May 26 (UNI) Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived in Nagpur late Sunday evening as part of his Maharashtra tour. He was received by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and senior BJP leaders. The party has announced that Shah will participate in several significant events across the state on Monday and Tuesday with details of his Nanded itinerary shared on the party's official X handle.
Shah is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the guest house 'Swasthi Niwas' at the National Cancer Institute in Jamtha. He will also inaugurate the temporary campus of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and lay the foundation stone for its permanent campus located in Chincholi, Kamathi taluka.
Following these engagements, the Union Home Minister will proceed to Nanded to unveil the statue of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vasant Rao Naik at Anand Nagar. He will then address a public gathering before holding a meeting at the Kasam Auditorium of the Shankar Rao Chavan Memorial. According to the BJP's X handle, Shah is slated to speak at a public meeting at Nawa Munda Ground on Monday.
Shah will inaugurate the BJP Nanded Metropolitan Office at Nana Nani Park in the Nanded Industrial Area, followed by another public address at the Nawa Motha Ground. He is expected to return to Mumbai later in the evening.
Looking ahead, the Maharashtra BJP has confirmed that Amit Shah will attend the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir at Madhav Bagh, Mumbai, on Tuesday morning.
In the afternoon, he will deliver a special lecture commemorating the 60th death anniversary of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar at the Sir Kowsji Jehangir Auditorium, Mumbai University, before departing for Delhi.
