Above normal day temperatures in NE India, TN, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal

Pune, May 5 (UNI) Day Temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Assam and Meghalaya; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Odisha, east Madhya Pradesh; at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, west Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat state; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Konkan and Goa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and normal over rest parts of the country.
Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.2°C was reported at Nandurbar (Madhya Maharashtra) over the country.
Hailstorm occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Gujarat Region.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Punjab and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Telangana, Rayalseema, north interior Karnataka, south Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Gangetic West Bengal, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and coastal Karnataka.
