One killed, 24 injured in Qasr-e Shirin county as Israel attacks Iran: Reports

Tehran, June 13 (UNI) One person was killed and 24 others injured in the western Iranian border county of Qasr-e Shirin overnight during an Israeli attack on Iran, the Iranian state news agency ISNA reported on Friday.
Earlier in the day, two people were reported dead and six injured in an Israeli attack on three military districts and a garrison in Iran's northwestern East Azerbaijan province.
The Nour News agency reported that at least five people were killed and 20 others were injured in an Israeli attack on a building in Narmak, in northeastern Tehran.
At least eight were killed nationwide, while the total number of those injured is at least 50. Iran did not specify whether the casualties were civilians or military personnel. Iranian authorities accused Israel of targeting residential areas in the capital of Tehran, including those where Iranian military personnel and officials lived.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it had struck dozens of military targets in Iran overnight, including those linked to the country’s nuclear program.
The IDF said that Israeli fighter jets completed the first stage of the operation. Iranian armed forces spokesperson Brig. Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi vowed a tough response to Israeli strikes on Iran, saying the Jewish state would pay a high price.
Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei said that he gave the armed forces freedom of action to respond to Israeli strikes.
