IDF says reservist wounded in West Bank blast

Jerusalem, May 1 (UNI) An Israeli reservist was seriously wounded when an explosive device went off in the West Bank, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.

"Earlier today (Wednesday), a reservist in the 9221st Battalion of the Ephraim Brigade, was severely injured by an explosive during operational activity in the area of Beita in the Samaria Regional Brigade," the IDF said on Telegram.

According to the statement, the reservist was evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment, and IDF soldiers encircled the area of Beita to locate the perpetrators.
