Bangladesh expresses concerns over ongoing conflict in Iran

Dhaka, Jun 23 (UNI) Bangladesh has expressed its deep concern over the recent attacks targeting nuclear facilities in Iran.
"Such developments risk further destabilizing an already fragile regional situation and heighten the threat to international peace and security," Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release on Sunday.
"Bangladesh reiterates its position in favor of peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy. It urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint and refrain from any actions that could escalate tensions in the region," said the press release.
It said that Bangladesh calls upon the United Nations and the international community to engage proactively in efforts to de-escalate the situation and promote peace and stability in the Middle East.

It said constructive engagement, mutual respect, and adherence to international norms remain the only sustainable path to enduring peace.
