India, Visegrád Group agree to deepen strategic and economic ties, launch annual ministerial talks

New York, Sep 22 (UNI) India and the four-nation Visegrád Group agreed to deepen political, economic and defence cooperation, launching a new annual dialogue between their foreign ministers, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said after the first such meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The first V4 India Foreign Ministers’ Meeting was held on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York under the Slovak Presidency of the V4.
Jaishankar participated in the meeting along with Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanár, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Petr Macinka, and Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Anita Orbán.
