Israeli rights group warns of voting delays in Arab towns, urges electoral officials to act

Jerusalem, Oct 27 (UNI) The Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) has warned that unexplained delays at polling stations in Arab-majority towns could obstruct voting, urging Central Elections Committee chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg to deploy inspectors to ensure voters can exercise their rights.
The association said it had received reports of unusually slow processing and long queues at polling stations across several localities, raising concerns that the delays might not be accidental and could affect Arab citizens’ participation in Tuesday’s election.
The reported locations included Rahat, Tel Sheva, Laqiya, Segev Shalom, Abu Tulul, Umm Batin, Iksal, Jaljulya, Kafr Kara, Jisr e-Zarka, Kafr Manda, Ar’ara, Tamra, Kafr Kanna, Tira and Daburiya.
