Karimnagar (Telangana), May 4 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has firmly stated that there is no justification for holding talks with Maoists who have taken innocent lives through violence.
Speaking at an event after unveiling a Hanuman statue in Kothapalli, Karimnagar district, Sanjay criticised past and present political efforts to engage with Maoists. “There is no point in talking to those who have killed innocent people with guns. Until they drop their weapons, any dialogue is meaningless,” he asserted.
He reminded that it was the Congress itself that once banned the Maoists and accused the group of planting landmines and murdering leaders from across party lines, including the BJP, Congress, and TDP. He also condemned the killing of innocent tribals by Maoists on suspicion of being informers, causing immense suffering to families.
Sanjay also touched on national issues, calling the Modi government’s decision to implement a Central Caste Census “historic” and dismissed the Congress-led caste census as flawed.
“The Congress survey did injustice to BCs by reducing their representation,” he said, accusing the party of misleading the public and failing to deliver on its six guarantees.
He further questioned the Congress’s silence on the presence of Rohingyas in India and demanded clarity on their position. “We are identifying and sending back foreigners without passports, while Congress remains silent,” he added.
On the issue of corruption, Sanjay raised concerns about inaction on the NDSA report on the Kaleshwaram project. He accused both Congress and BRS of “shamelessly” competing to engage Maoists in talks for political mileage.
“There will be no talks with Naxals. No talks,” he reiterated emphatically.
