Opposition targeting constitutional institutions to hide its failures: Pradeep Agrahari

Varanasi, Sep 28 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) City President Pradeep Agrahari launched a scathing attack on the Congress and its allies at the city Office, Gulab Bagh, on Monday, saying that the opposition, frustrated by repeated electoral defeats, is making baseless allegations against the country's constitutional and democratic institutions to hide its political failures.
Citing the recent consensus statement issued by the Election Commission, Agrahari said that it completely exposes the confusion and fabrications being spread by the Congress and the opposition "Indi alliance."
He said that the joint press note issued after the meeting of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the two Election Commissioners (Dr. S.S. Sandhu and Vivek Joshi) on September 26 makes it clear that all decisions, including the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) conducted across the country, were taken with the full consensus of the entire Commission.
Regarding the confusion being spread regarding Form-6, Agrahari stated that the Supreme Court had already upheld the Form-6 declaration for SIR as valid and correct. Despite this, the opposition continued to spread confusion among the public.
The BJP City President alleged that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leadership have a history of making false allegations against constitutional institutions. He cited examples such as calling EVMs "black boxes" in 2024, apologizing in the Supreme Court in 2019 for the Rafale case, questioning the Indian judiciary on foreign platforms, rejecting the CAG report, and questioning the surgical strikes and the bravery of the army.
Agrahari said that whenever the opposition faces defeat in the court of the people, it conspires to defame institutions like the Election Commission and the judiciary to vent its frustration.
