Parade of suspected thief: Jammu SSP orders probe after video goes viral

Jammu, June 24 (UNI) The Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, Joginder Singh today initiated an enquiry after a video went viral on social media in which a suspected thief tied on the bonnet of a police vehicle was paraded in public.
In an official order issued by the SSP Jammu, it was stated that a video went viral on social media platforms wherein a person was publicly paraded, tied to the bonnet of a vehicle by the personnel of police station Bakshi Nagar.
Taking a serious note, an enquiry has been ordered and the same has been entrusted to SDPO City North, Jammu, who will enquire into the matter and submit his findings within a week's time positively, it read.
It further said that Jammu Police firmly believes in upholding the rule of law and at the same time any non-professional tendency and approach on the part of any official will not encouraged and the desired departmental or legal action will be taken against such delinquent members. UNI VBH SSP
