New Delhi, June 4 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed his deep grief over the loss of lives due to an accident in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh.
The Prime Minister also announced an ex-gratia from PMNRF of Rs two lakh to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured.
The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X’ “Deeply anguished by the loss of lives due to an accident in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon”.
“An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs 50,000,” the post said.
As many as nine people were killed and two injured when a cement-laden truck overturned and fell on a van. All the passengers in the van were residents of Meghnagar and were returning from a wedding ceremony. UNI RBE SSP
