Quantum technology plays major role in future development : APSCHE Chairman

Kakinada, Apr 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Chairman Prof K. Madhu Murthy on Saturday said that quantum technology plays a major role in the future development and it will revolutionide communication, computing, sensing and many other fields.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the two-day awareness session on 'quantum science and technology' for faculty members of JNTUK and its affiliate colleges, engineering and degree colleges of various states in collaboration with Quantum ecosystem technology council of India(QETCI) and National quantum Mission in alumni auditorium here.
Prof Madhu Murthy said under the new educational policy, conventional degree courses would be designed as professional courses to give priority to quantum technology and a new curriculum will be designed with quantum computing and Artificial intelligence and Machine learning (AI and ML).

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has started Ratan Tata Innovation hub to make Amaravati as a quantum valley and to make the state as a platform for new innovations ‘he added.
Reena Dayal, founder and CEO of QETCI and National Quantum Mission (NQM) said they were working to support the ecosystem and to accelerate research and form strategic partnerships for the adoption of quantum technology.
Artificial intelligence capabilities can be further enhanced by using Computing to accelerate machine learning algorithms and solve optimization problems faster, she added.
JNTUK Vice Chancellor Prof CSRK Prasad said that quantum science and technology contributes a lot to drug discovery, space research, Banking security and sustainable development.
