Rajasthan: One killed in family feud over land dispute in Deeg

Bharatpur, June 9 (UNI) A person was killed in a family feud over a land dispute in Deeg district of Rajasthan on Monday, police said.

Police sources said two groups of the same family, in Jaishri village under Sikri police station area, were involved in a dispute over ancestral land. The dispute escalated into a physical altercation when one side, led by Amar Singh (50), and the other, led by Sohanpal, clashed over construction work on the land.

The altercation turned violent, with both sides using sticks and rods to attack each other.

Amar Singh was severely injured in the fight and was admitted to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident and are currently conducting post-mortem examination of the deceased.
