Rupee slips 7 paise against USD

Rupee slips 7 paise against USD

Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) The Rupee on Wednesday lost further by 7 paise at 84.50 against the USD following a geographical tension between India and Pakistan.

Even brisk demand for US dollars by bankers and exporters too impacted the same, dealers at the Forex Market informed.

The local unit remained weak owing to the strong dollar against other world currencies amid a sliding equity market in early trade.

The Rupee recorded intraday highs and lows at 84.40 and 84.53, respectively, the dealer added.
