SACH’s care for intellectually challenged children commendable: MD of SBI Foundation

Kottayam, Jun 12 (UNI) The activities carried out by SACH (Society for Action in Community Health) for children facing intellectual challenges are commendable, said Sanjay Prakash, Managing Director of SBI Foundation.
He was speaking after visiting the "Sansvitha Centre" at Thalayazham-Vaikom launched under the leadership of SACH with the support of the SBI Foundation.
"Sansvitha is a novel concept. It has been able to bring about significant changes in children with intellectual disabilities. The center is an inspiration to parents of mentally challenged children across the world," he added.
SBI Foundation Vice President Shashi Bhushan stated that efforts would be made to provide the necessary support to expand the activities of the center.
The centre provides treatment for individuals affected by neuro disorders and diseases such as autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, mental retardation, parkinson’s disease and alzheimer’s disease.
