SHF disbursements outside South cross Rs. 1000 cr, targets Rs 1500 cr

Chennai June 5 (uni) On the back of its steady and continued expansion outside the South Market,
Sundaram Home Finance (shf) HAS crossed the milestone of Rs. 1000 crores in disbursements in
prime home finance segment in non-south markets in FY25 and is targetting Rs 1,500 crore this year
In the recent past, IT expanded its presence in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and MP and forayed into
new markets such as Chhattisgarh.
With its growing presence across the country, the contribution from non-south geographies has
doubled in the last couple of years to around 20% of the company’s overall disbursements.
Commenting on the milestone, Company MD D. Lakshminarayanan, said “We had
identified specific pockets of growth opportunities in markets outside South India and this has
served well for us. Disbursements in the prime home finance segment crossing Rs. 1000 crore
last year in the non-south market is an important milestone in our growth journey and is
testament to our strategic focus of spreading our wings across the country.”
On the growth drivers in non-south markets, Lakshminarayanan said, “The size of the markets,
the opening of new branches and strengthening presence in existing locations including adding
people have contributed to the over 50% year on year growth in disbursements in the non-south
geographies.”
Following its recent expansion, it now has close to 25 branches in non-south markets and plans to open 5 more branches in the near term.
On the growth plans in the non-south market, Lakshminarayanan said, “The focus this year will be
on strengthening our presence in locations where we had expanded in the last couple of years
while at the same time looking for select growth opportunities in new Tier 2 and 3 towns outside
Having crossed the Rs. 1000crores mark in FY25, the company is looking at disbursements of
around Rs. 1500 crores this year from the non-south market.
