Spain right-back Pedro Porro out of squad with injury

Madrid, Sep 20 (UNI) Spain right-back Pedro Porro has dropped out of the squad ahead of the UEFA Nations League matches against England, Croatia and Czechia due to injury.
Porro, Spain's first choice in the defensive line during its winning campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, suffered a relapse of the muscle problems that had kept him out for two matches, after playing just 19 minutes in Tottenham Hotspur's 3-2 defeat against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Marcos Llorente, who was substitute to Porro in the World Cup, recently announced his retirement from international football, leaving Spain coach Luis de la Fuente with the option of using Atletico Madrid's Marc Pubill as right-back or calling another player into his squad as a replacement, according to Xinhua.
