SRIHER holds Intl conference on ARQ

Chennai, June 20 (UNI) Quality in higher education is to be built, inculcated and nurtured to
be put into operational systems, measurability and scalability against the pre-determined
set of standards, so that Indian graduates are turn out to be not only locally, nationally but
globally relevant, said Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra, Pro Chancellor, Datta Meghe Institute of
Medical Sciences, Wardha, Maharashtra, said on Friday.
He was speaking after inaugurating a three day Accreditation, Ranking and Quality (ARQ)
International Conference at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research
(SRIHER) in Chennai.
He stressed the importance of international accreditation of our educational policies.
This ARQ conference is envisioned as a dynamic platform to spark transformative conversations
around how institutions can reimagine excellence in higher education, a release from SRIHER
said.
At a time when global standards are evolving and national frameworks are becoming increasingly
data-driven, the conference aims to equip stakeholders with practical strategies, insightful models,
and innovative mind sets to drive meaningful quality improvement, he added.
Dr. Uma Sekar, Vice Chancellor said the goal of policy makers at national and international levels
and great educationalist of reputed institutions worldwide is to elevate the standard of education
through robust framework where accountability is built into the systems and there is continuous
improvement in the standards.
The aim of this conference is to elevate the standards of future education and the teachers are
committed to it. "To set the benchmark for the quality of education we need to have the innovation
in curriculum", she said.
The ARQ conference creates a space for shared learning, where policy meets practice and metrics
translate into movement. It’s not just about measuring excellence--it’s about designing it, she added.

Nilambur by-election: 75 27 percent polling; counting of votes on June 23

Malappuram, Jun 20 (UNI) The Nilambur assembly by-election, held on June 19 recorded a voter turnout of 75.27 percent. Out of a total of 2,32,057 voters, 1,74,667 people reached the polling booth and exercised their right to vote. Out of 1,13,299 male voters, 81,007 exercised their franchise, while out of 1,18,750 female voters, 93,658 casted their vote.
