Telangana: Amit Shah to inaugurate National Turmeric Board Office in Nizamabad on June 29

Nizamabad (Telangana), Jun 26 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the National Turmeric Board (NTB) office in Nizamabad on Sunday, according to Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy.
Addressing a press conference here today after inspecting the ground preparation in Nizamabad for the grand Kisan Sabha here, where Amit Shah will inaugurate the National Headquarters of the Turmeric Board, Kishan Reddy along with Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri, said this marks a historic milestone for turmeric farmers across the nation and a proud moment for Telangana.
The long-standing wish of the farmers of Nizamabad has been fulfilled after numerous struggles for the establishment of a Turmeric Board, he said.
Although many political parties made promises, none were implemented and recognizing the aspirations of turmeric farmers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to establish the Turmeric Board in Nizamabad as a gift to the farmers, despite requests from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and other States, said Kishan Reddy.
Empowering turmeric farmers of Telangana and across India, Amit Shah is inaugurating the Headquarters of the National Turmeric Board.
He termed it a major step by Narendra Modi’s government to boost exports, innovation, and the global reach of India’s golden spice, with a target of reaching $1 billion in exports by 2030.
During his visit, Amit Shah will release the logo, address a farmers’ meeting and also unveil the statue of Arvind’s father and former Congress Minister D. Srinivas on June 29.
Earlier, Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Exhibition commemorating 50 years of Emergency, at BJP District Office, Nizamabad.
The Exhibition showcases the dark days of the Emergency imposed by the Congress in 1975, which was a cold, calculated attack on India's democracy.
