Telangana: Singareni workers to receive Diwali bonus on Nov 5: Dy CM Bhatti

Hyderabad, Oct 30 (UNI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has announced that Singareni workers will receive their Diwali bonus on November 5, with a total payout of approximately Rs 419 crore benefiting around 38,000 employees.
Extending Diwali greetings to the workers, Bhatti Vikramarka said each eligible employee would receive a maximum bonus of Rs 1,10,250. Following his directions, Singareni CMD Dr Buddha Prakash Jyoti has instructed officials to ensure that the amount is credited to workers' bank accounts by November 5.
The bonus will apply to employees covered under the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA), excluding executive-level staff. Workers completing 190 working days in underground mines or 240 days in open-cast and surface operations during the previous financial year will receive the full amount, while others will be paid on a pro-rata basis. A minimum of 30 working days is required for eligibility.
Bhatti Vikramarka said the government was committed to the development and expansion of Singareni.
He pointed out that workers had already received around Rs 600 crore as profit-sharing bonus earlier this month.
With the latest announcement, Singareni workers are expected to receive an average of nearly Rs 2.65 lakh through Dussehra and Diwali bonuses within a month, taking the total payout to approximately Rs 1,020 crore.
CMD Dr. Buddha Prakash Jyoti congratulated the employees and urged them to utilise the bonus wisely, meet family needs and save a portion for the future.
He also called upon workers to maintain productivity and achieve the targets set for their respective mines and departments, according to an official statement on Friday.
