TMC members visiting forward areas express their solidarity with victims of Pak shelling

Kolkata, May 23 (UNI) A five-member TMC delegation visiting Jammu and Kashmir forward areas on Friday met the affected families in Pooch and offered their heartfelt condolences. They assured the families of their support after brutal shelling by Pakistani troops.

"Our delegation met the affected families in Poonch and offered its condolences. The delegation conveyed the party's unwavering solidarity and compassion for those impacted by the tragic cross-border attacks," an AITC statement said.

The members, headed by TMC's Rajya Sabha leader Derek O'Brien also reached Rajouri to take stock of the ground situation.

In the district hospital, they met the injured, heard their accounts, and assured them of continued support and solidarity.

The other members in the delegation are Manas Bhunia, Sagarika Ghosh, Mamata Bala Thakur and Nadimul Haque.

They also held a meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday.
