Tripura-based TIPRA Motha constitutes CWC

Agartala, Nov 3 (UNI) Ruling BJP's ally in Tripura TIPRA Motha Party has constituted its Central Working Committee (CWC), appointing eight leaders to its highest organisational body.
The announcement raised question why has a regional party whose political presence and organisational influence remain largely confined to Tripura constituting committees in different nomenclature with the same people?
According to a notice, the newly constituted CWC comprises B.K. Hrangkhawl, Jagadish Debbarma (who switched to BJP three months ago before ADC poll), Brishaketu Debbarma, Ranjit Debbarma, Purna Chandra Jamatia, Ratish Tripura, Paul Dangshu and Keneram Reang.
The presidents of the Youth TIPRA Federation (YTF) and TIPRA Women Federation (TWF), along with Chief Executive Member of ADC, have also been included as invitee members by virtue of their positions.
The most politically significant aspect of the announcement, however, is the decision of TIPRA Motha founder and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarman to decline membership of the committee. He had quit the active politics a month ago, but last week he reappeared and met Chief Minister over Motha's core demand.
The notice stated that he was invited and requested to join the CWC but politely declined, while assuring the party, the state and its people of his continued guidance.
The development also draws attention to the party's organisational structure and political positioning like national parties for overseeing extensive political and organisational networks across multiple states.

TIPRA Motha, by contrast, remains primarily a Tripura-based political force. Although there is no restriction on a state-recognised political party establishing a Central Working Committee for its internal functioning, the terminology invites comparisons with parties that have a much wider national presence.
Does the formation of the CWC signal an intention to expand beyond Tripura, or is it simply a step towards strengthening the party's internal organisational hierarchy?
