UP govt transfers five IPS officers

Lucknow, May 29 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday transferred five senior officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS), official sources said here.
Sources said that Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Gorakhpur Zone, Anand Suresh Rao Kulkarni, has been transferred to the post of DIG Technical Services Headquarters in Lucknow, while Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) in Varanasi Commissionerate Shivasimpi Chanappa has been transferred to the post of DIG of Gorakhpur Zone.
Sources that Dinesh Kumar P, DIG of Basti Zone, has been relieved for central deputation. In his place, Sanjeev Tyagi, who was working till now on the post of DIG Prison Administration and Correctional Services, has been sent.
Shivhari Meena, who was working on the post of DIG Technical Services Headquarters Lucknow, has been sent as Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) in Varanasi Commissionerate in place of Chanappa.
