Woman’s body found in a suitcase near railway stn

Mumbai April 17 (UNI) The decomposed body of a woman was found inside a suitcase near the Monkey Hill area on the Mumbai-Pune railway route lying close to railway tracks, official said on Thursday.
The suitcase was first spotted by a passenger on a train travelling from Mumbai to Pune. As the train passed the Monkey Hill point, the commuter noticed the oddly placed suitcase near the tracks and alerted the railway police.
Upon reaching police took possession of the bag and discovered the woman’s body in a severely decomposed state, raising suspicions of foul play.
A panchnama was conducted at the site and the body was sent for a post-mortem. Further investigations are going on.
