Jammu, Apr 5 (UNI) Bollywood actress and politician Isha Koppikar here on Saturday said that the women need to understand how powerful they are and they will do wonders.

“Women are powerful in whichever field they are but the problem is that we ourselves are not aware how powerful we are,” Koppikar told reporters.

She was in town to attend a panel discussion of “The Role of Women In Politics” organised by the FICCI FLO J&K, Ladakh Chapter.

Former Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Hina Shafi Bhat was also present on the occasion.

The event also witnessed a change of guard ceremony with Aarti Chowdhary taking over as new chairperson of FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh (JKL) for the term 2025-26.

“Either it's sports, films or politics, women are powerful everywhere and they need to understand this,” said the actress.

She asserted, “once they will understand how powerful they are, they will do wonders and break all the barriers.”

On the demise of veteran actor, Manoj Kumar, she said, “my heartfelt condolences to the entire family.”

“I really respect him, love him. It is a great loss for the country. He was a true patriot,” said Koppikar.

On Jammu and Kashmir, she said, “in our childhood days, we used to visit Jammu and Kashmir. It is a beautiful place and many film shootings are already going on in this scenic region.”
