‘Evil Dead Burn’ set to premiere on HBO Max on October 2

Washington, Sep 26 (UNI) The Evil Dead franchise is bringing fresh scares to streaming, with "Evil Dead Burn" set to premiere on HBO Max on October 2, just weeks before Halloween, Variety reported.
One of the year’s anticipated movie had its theatrical release on July 10, marking the third film since the “Evil Dead” reboot in 2013 and sixth film in the franchise overall.
Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, “Evil Dead Burn” stars Souheila Yacoub as a woman looking for comfort from her in-laws after her husband’s death. However, their gathering at a secluded house quickly turns into a hellish reunion as the family members turn into Deadites.
The film also stars Hunter Doohan from “Wednesday” and “Daredevil: Born Again”, Luciane Buchanan of “The Night Agent”, Tandi Wright from “Pearl”, Erroll Shand of “Chief of War”, George Pullar of “ It Only Takes a Night” and Maude Davey, known for “The Newsreader”.
Created by American Filmmaker Sam Raimi, the “Evil Dead” horror franchise now spans six films and a television series.
According to Variety, the franchise follows numerous characters facing demonic entities known as “Deadites”, which are raised with the help of a strange book of the dead, also known as the Naturom Demonto in movies one, four and five, and as the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis in movies two, three and six.
Therefore, the original trilogy starred Bruce Campbell in “The Evil Dead” (1981), “Evil Dead II” (1987) and “Army of Darkness” (1992). This franchise, apparently, continued with the 2013 standalone sequel “Evil Dead”, in which Campbell reprised his role. This series ran from 2015-2018.

The fifth film in the franchise, “Evil Dead Rise,” was released in 2023, and the seventh film of this franchise, “Evil Dead Wrath”, helmed by Francis Galluppi, is slated for an April 2028 release.
Moreover, the “Evil Dead Burn” has been produced by Raimi and Robert Tapert under their Ghost House Pictures banner and Campbell, Romel Adam, Lee Cronin and Jose Cañas being the executive producers, Variety reported.
