AI-powered wearable cardiac monitoring device Kardi Ai launched in India

Hyderabad, Sep 26 (UNI) Czech HealthTech company Kardi Ai on Saturday launched its AI-powered wearable ECG technology in India, offering a long-term cardiac monitoring system designed to help physicians identify intermittent heart rhythm abnormalities that may go undetected during conventional ECG tests.
The Kardi Ai device was launched by Dr Balakrishna, Joint Director, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, at a programme in Hyderabad.
Kardi Ai Co-founder and CEO Ing. Vlastimil Hrabal, the company’s India representative Dr Ramana Jagarlamudi, Eurasia Medical Technologies LLP Scientific Adviser and Co-founder Dr Raghavendra Rao, and CzechTrade India Director Ing. Josef Hrubec were among those present.
Explaining the technology, Hrabal said the system combines a wearable ECG chest strap, mobile connectivity and AI-supported analysis to monitor heart rhythms over an extended period while patients continue their routine activities.
He said cardiac rhythm abnormalities could occur intermittently and might not be detected during a brief ECG examination or a conventional 24-hour Holter test. Extended monitoring provides physicians with more data to assess potential abnormalities, he added.
According to the company, its technology has reported detection rates of up to 40 per cent, compared with approximately 2–5 per cent for conventional Holter monitoring.
The company noted that detection rates could vary depending on the monitoring protocol, patient population and clinical criteria.
The system is designed to support physicians and does not replace clinical diagnosis or medical decision-making.
The company said the device had obtained an MD-15 licence from the Government of India for import and sale in the country and was CE-marked as a Class IIa medical device under the European Union’s Medical Device Regulation.
Hrubec said more than 37 Czech companies operated in India, with investments exceeding USD 283 million.
He described Kardi Ai as an example of Czech innovation expanding into healthcare technology, artificial intelligence and digital health.
The India launch is being facilitated by Hyderabad-based Eurasia Medical Technologies LLP, the company’s Indian arm and authorised representative.
Dr Ramana Jagarlamudi and Dr Raghavendra Rao said they were exploring the possibility of establishing a manufacturing facility in India.
The launch was attended by cardiologists, doctors, healthcare professionals and technology stakeholders.
