Anubhav Sinha ventures into music with new label ‘Benaras Beat’

Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, known for films such as "Dus", "Mulk" and "Thappad", has launched a music label, Benaras Beat, through which he plans to release original music outside the world of films.
Sinha said the label was not a sudden decision but an idea he had been carrying for nearly a decade. “There is a very interesting saying that if you want to do something and you don't do anything about it, then it's a dream, and if you want to do something and you do a lot about it, then it's an ambition. "Benaras Beat" was formed in my head and in the office about seven-eight years ago. I love music, so much so that three years back I started learning it. It's been my passion since childhood; there is music playing in my room all the time.”
The project gained momentum about a year ago when Sinha began collaborating with a couple of composers and gradually put together a team. It started taking shape about a year back when he started working with a couple of composers; the whole team was set up, and now they have created some exclusive songs, reports Variety India.
Sinha is currently working on finalising the tracks that will be released under Benaras Beat. The identities of the composers and other details surrounding the songs are being kept under wraps, although the filmmaker confirmed that some of the music is already in production and will be released soon.
