Bumrah available for 2nd Test: Ryan ten Doeschate

Birmingham, June 30 (UNI) India bowling coach Ryan ten Doeschate today confirmed that pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is available for selection for the second Test of the England series, but a final decision on his inclusion will be taken closer to match time.
"Yeah, he's available for the game, obviously. We know from the start he's only going to play three out of the five," said Ten Doeschate during a pre-match media interaction. "He's obviously had eight days to recover from the last Test. But given conditions and workload and how we think we can best manage for the next four games, we haven't made a call on that."
While Bumrah has been declared fit and ready, Ten Doeschate emphasised that several variables, including pitch conditions and the overall bowling workload, will influence team management's decision.
"Technically, yes, he's available. But we haven't made a decision on whether he's going to play or not yet," he reiterated. "The bar is set at three [Tests], and we’ve deferred the decision to take the pitch into account as well."
On Bumrah's overall readiness, Ten Doeschate added: "He is ready to play. So, like I said in the very first question, it's how we manage these four Tests. If we feel like there's value in playing him in this Test, we'll make that call at the very last minute."
The management is also considering the strategic importance of upcoming venues. “Are we better off holding him back for Lord’s and maybe Manchester or the Oval? So it’s all those factors,” he noted.
