Hisar police tighten security at power installations over three-day strike call

Hisar, Oct 23 (UNI) Police have been deployed at power houses and other key electricity installations across Hisar district, in view of a proposed three-day strike by electricity employees, with authorities warning of strict action against anyone disrupting public order or damaging government property.
The security arrangements have been made under the directions of Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain to protect critical electricity infrastructure and maintain law and order, according to a police statement issued on Friday.
“Maintaining law and order in the district and ensuring the security of important installations are our priorities. No one will be allowed to disturb peace or damage government property,” Jain said.
Personnel deployed at electricity installations have been directed to remain vigilant at their assigned posts, monitor activities in the vicinity and immediately inform senior officers about any potential trouble.
Police said the arrangements aim to safeguard important facilities, prevent obstruction of government work and support the administration’s efforts to minimise inconvenience to residents.
Strict action will be taken in accordance with the law against anyone attempting to damage government property, take the law into their own hands or disturb public order, the statement said.
Personnel have also been instructed to respond promptly to information and maintain close coordination with the district administration and electricity department. Further security measures will be taken as required by the situation.
Police appealed to residents to maintain peace, avoid relying on rumours or unverified information and refrain from sharing misleading messages on social media.
Citizens have been urged to immediately report any suspicious activity around electricity installations and follow the administration’s instructions.
