NDR Warehousing forays into Kerala with Rs 250-crore investment

Kochi, May 30 (UNI) Marking its foray into Kerala as a leading provider of industrial spaces and logistics infrastructure, NDR Warehousing has acquired around 16 acres of land in Aluva to build nearly five lakh square feet of Grade-A storing space, taking forward the company’s promise made at the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) held here in February.
The plots have been acquired under two SPVs: NDR Storewell Warehousing LLP (8 acres) and NDR Space Private Limited (8.39 acres).
With a proposed investment of Rs 250 crore in FY25, the project will be a state-of-the-art semi-to-fully-automated facility, leveraging high-precision mechanical systems to optimise inventory and stock management.
Industries Minister P Rajeeve visited the site and held discussions with top NDR officials. “This project is an example of the government's continuous efforts to attract high-quality investments and create an environment conducive for industrial growth,” he noted.
The facility is coming up amid a growing demand in FMCG, pharmaceutical, and third-party logistics in the region.
The NDR project will create employment for 150 to 200 skilled professionals, besides around 25 unskilled workers, contributing to local economic growth and industrial development.
Certified by EDGE, the project will go by the norms of sustainable development, according to senior officials of the four-decade-old NDR, based in Chennai.
The Aluva facility will set new benchmarks in Kerala’s logistics sector, offering scalable and modern infrastructure to support the state’s evolving supply chain needs, said NDR Chief Executive Officer Raj Srinivasan. NDR Warehousing is evaluating the future development of a commercial or mixed-use facility as its long-term vision for the region, he added.
“Kerala’s strategic location, rising consumption demand, and improving infrastructure make the state a key market for modern warehousing,” Raj noted. “Our investment in Aluva is a long-term commitment to supporting Kerala’s industrial and logistics ecosystem. This facility will enable our clients to operate efficiently in southern India while creating tangible value for the local community.”
The 1986-founded NDR offers modern infrastructure that addresses Kerala’s expanding distribution network needs. The company partners with global brands by offering cost-effective supply chain solutions, reinforcing the country’s position as a logistics hub.
